The Position…
This role will be responsible for various types of fitting and welding pressure piping and pressure vessels to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools according to specifications
- Executes quality open groove welds and butt welds to applicable codes
- Completes job functions in accordance with ASME standards
- Performs job efficiently and effectively on an independent basis
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Perform all work with a strong commitment to safety and quality
Required Education and Experience
- High school graduate (or GED) required
- A minimum of five years of experience as a Pipefitter / Welder
- Must be able to pass a weld test
- Knowledge of ASME Standards
- Knowledge of take offs for weld fittings
- Ability to utilize hand and power tools
Work Environment
This job operates in a variety of settings to include but not limited to an office setting, warehouse, and production facility.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to squat, bend or stoop
- Must be able to push, pull and reach overhead
