Job Opening Summary

Provides an effective hospital-wide program for the surveillance, prevention and control of infection. Assumes the role of leader in planning, directing and managing the Infection Control program to ensure quality service on a 24-hour basis. Meets The Joint Commission standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, promotes teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, promotes internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriately manages resources.

Job Opening Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Associate's degree

Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • Florida registered nurse license
  • CIC

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
  • Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
  • Training: Training in computer operation with ability to abstract from clinical data and provide analysis reports.
  • Experience: Hospital nursing, OR preferred, 3-5 years.
