Job Summary
The Designer I is responsible for the accurate design of the roof and floor trusses, walls, and components for single-family and commercial projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing Mitek software
- Prepares bids, layouts, and engineered profiles utilizing Mitek software
- Optimize designs for maximum efficiency
- Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
- Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate. Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in related field/responsibilities
- Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred
- Working knowledge of floor and rood systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars
Compensation & Benefit Information:
$45,000 - 65,000 annually
Bonus/Incentive Pay:
A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
