What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at UG2?
We are looking for a responsible Maintenance Technician to support general building operations. This includes inspections, testing and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and automatic temperature control equipment. This position is essential for ensuring the continuous operation of the building and equipment. Essential to work with Mall Management
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on all air & water distribution system equipment, including but not limited to various types of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Conduct regular tours of mechanical spaces, tenant/public areas, roofs and building grounds.
- Respond to service calls/tenant requests for HVAC plumbing, lighting, general carpentry & painting duties, Interacts with general contractors.
- Assist mall on marketing events and other mall needs.
- Operate, inspect, maintain, and assist in repairing the building’s Energy Management System & Building Automated System and Fire Safety System
- Must be willing to assist in minor housekeeping duties ex: trash removal and sweeping.
- Assist landscaper with duties as needed.
Requirements (Knowledge, Ability, Skills, and Education and/or Experience)
- Ability to lead, manage, and direct maintenance department to accomplish completing tasks with a successful result.
- Must successfully complete the required company training.
- Must have a driver's license, High School Diploma Trade School, or GED
Qualifications:
- Must be able to respond to emergencies when needed as well as working during inclement weather.
- Knowledge of HVAC codes and regulations is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of a variety of hand and power tools
- Must be comfortable working on ladder and power lifts.
