The Compliance Intern will collaborate with subject matter experts in the organization to obtain licensure for the company in its respective operating states and ensuCompliancence with applicable regulatory requirements. The Compliance Intern will assist in the creation of technical documents in support of Compliance and operations activities.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Performs complex analysis of existing processes and data and applies observations toward developing, maintaining, revising, and auditing operating policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with employees across all levels to best understand how to update and create company technical documents.
- Audit systems are implemented to verify the accuracy and completeness of records and review trending and corrective actions to determine reasonable and effective resolutions.
- Ability to read and interpret regulations, guidance documents, technical manuals, handbooks, forms, and related instruction guides.
- Process due diligence on prospective clients
- Follow up with a prospective client for missing items to process a file. (Articles of Incorporation, registration to originate business, etc.)
- Process underwriting client files to ensure the proposed program meets the prospective client's needs.
- Prepare the legal agreements and forward them to prospective clients upon credit committee approval.
- Clean up client files for risk assessment and possible coordination of special processes from other departments.
- Perform other Compliance compliances as assigned, including process auditing and troubleshooting operational issues.
Requirements
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and strong computer skills.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees both verbally and in writing.
