About the Role:

 

The Director of Community Based Services is responsible for the complete operations of all the community programs at their site. Close attention and oversite to budgetary guidelines, recruiting, marketing, and productivity are key objectives to closely monitor for the success of the site. Strong communication and leadership skills are core attributes the ideal candidate should have, along with the ability to multitask and organize multiple ongoing initiates. The Director of Community Based Services must also demonstrate strong collaboration and relationship building skills with key managers throughout the agency. The Director of Community Based Services will report directly to the Executive Director of the Department.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Attends all Community Based Services related Regional Meetings, meetings with Masshealth MCE’s, and System of Care Meetings with CBHI Wraparound area providers
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision for Community Services Direct Care staff (including interns) to ensure ongoing clinical excellence as required by insurance payers is occurring
  • Supports and create growth and development for Community Based services
  • Oversees accurate payroll and productivity requirements for site's staff
  • Conduct the utilization review of all charts to ensure proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleges/universities in providing interns to Community Services Department
  • Coordinate with all insurance payers and fellow Community Service Management.
  • Provide crisis support for all community-based services staff.
  • Ensures ongoing training to all staff is occurring
  • Conduct Quality Assurance to clients through random phone audits.
  • Interview and hire all new Community Based Services staff for site.
  • Provides Ongoing Public Relations and Collaboration with outside agencies and services via meetings, phone/email correspondence, and direct mailings for continued growth programs

  • Fosters staff development and growth of team
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback to employees to motivate performance
  • Completes performance evaluations providing thorough feedback and goals to assigned staff by established deadlines
  • Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to staff; actively involved in resolving employee matters/issues
  • Maintains open communication through regular rounding and one to one meetings with employees
  • Ensures staff comply with assigned education requirement in a timely manner (i.e., CIA Training, HIPAA training, competencies, etc.)
  • Responsible for holding staff accountable with upholding facility policies/procedures and managing the corrective action process when needed
  • Actively participates and champions the facility’s Service Excellence and Recognition Programs
  • Develops team building initiatives to engage staff and build a positive team dynamic
  • Actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for all staff within the team

Qualifications

  • Current MA Licensure: LICSW or LMHC
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
  • Candidate must provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Card or appropriate religious / medical exemption. Card must possess at least either two Moderna Vaccinations, two Pfizer vaccinations, or a J&J vaccination with an additional Moderna/Pfizer vaccination
