Preparing healthy and appealing food items as required for patients, residents, staff and guests.

Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items as posted on weekly menu and for special functions or as required to accommodate patients, residents, staff and guests.
- Coordinates with cooks and dietary aides to insure all meal preparations are made.
- Assists Dietary Aides when necessary.
- Inventory and order specific items and assists in ordering in absence of Dietary Supervisor.
- Checks posted schedule and is present for all shifts on time and in proper uniform.
- Is able to work extra shifts to fill gaps in work schedule.
- Works well with others and maintains a well-balanced workday keeping busy without constant supervision
- Maintain clean and sanitary work area.
- Restock food line.
- Observe all Health Department and hospital policies and
- procedures regarding safe food cooking, handling, storing and serving.
- Be positive leader by constructively counseling Cooks on completing tasks.
- Delegate additional food preparation from Dietary Aides.
- Able to work food service line when necessary.
- Notifies Manager when items are needed for the upcoming menu.
- Puts away all Deliveries (with assistance when available).
- Notify supervisor of any unsafe equipment or circumstances.
