What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse position at UHS of Delaware, Inc.?

Responsibilities:
Via Linda Behavioral Hospital, currently under construction and expected to open in February 2022, will be an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility will offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.

We have started with a small team of compassionate professionals dedicated to providing quality care who are equally committed to creating a collaborative and supportive work culture.

We are seeking like-minded Nurses to join our growing team!

Our Nurses assume primary responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patients. The nurse plans and sets goals, which demonstrate a holistic approach to patients and families. The nurse assumes leadership responsibilities at the unit level and demonstrates a mastery of clinical skills related to patient’s mental health and physical health needs

Qualifications:
  • Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
  • Assuring/Improving Quality Care: Facilitates the patient and family’s right to receive safe, quality, and cost effective care. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information.
  • Patient/Staff Education: Demonstrates a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients, families, and Staff. Utilizes appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient or Staff outcomes. Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers and colleagues.
  • Nursing Process: Demonstrates the use of nursing process as a problem-solving model. Demonstrates a mastery of clinical skills related to patient’s mental health and physical health needs.
  • Leadership/Collaboration/Professional Development: Demonstrates respect and understanding for peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient care team to formulate an integrated approach to care. Demonstrates leadership behaviors and is committed to the development of self and others. Provides direct and indirect clinical oversight to unlicensed nursing personnel performing delegated tasks within the scope of their role.

The ideal candidate has a BSN and 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting. Valid RN license. Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC) certification preferred.
