The UHS Corporate Quality Management Department is hiring a Project Manager - Clinical Nursing who will function as a Subject Matter Expert directly supporting the clinical advancement of nursing practice for the Clinical Nursing Quality Team of the Acute Care Division of Universal Health Services.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Function as Senior Clinical Resource for Nursing and executive leadership with focuses on clinical advancement of nursing practice to support improved outcomes. Engage Nursing Leadership, quality, risk management, operations, and information services
- Identify opportunities focused on clinical nursing practice addressing nursing quality indicators, optimal patient outcomes, resource utilization, patient safety, standardization, and implementation strategies for improvement
- Interface with division leadership, UHS Nursing Leadership Councils, and facility leadership to execute the Clinical Nursing Quality strategic vision using a CVR focused performance improvement methodology
- Develop Evidence-based Programs and design standard toolkits to support strategies and drive improved outcomes. Support facility level clinical performance improvement projects with hospital executives and facility multidisciplinary teams under the direction of Clinical Nursing Quality leadership
- Collaborate with Corporate Informatics and Analytics team to leverage data to identify opportunities for improvement and evaluate the impact of improvement efforts
- Collaborate with the Corporate and Facility leaders on the hand off and completion of all initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's preferred with a minimum of 5-8 years' experience in facilitating Quality Improvement initiatives with corporate, hospital, and medical staff.
- Critical care experience preferred
- Demonstrated strong leader with excellent written/verbal communication and analytical skills
- Computer skills with proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Word
- Knowledge of Access preferred
- Understanding and use of Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Travel up to 25%
