The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and experienced Assistant Principal to support our LifeWorks School in Doylestown, PA for the 2024-2025 Academic School Year.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as lead school administrator overseeing all areas of operation, management, and supervision for assigned program(s).
2. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, communicate effectively, and interface with multi-disciplinary team, parents, caregivers, social services,
district personnel, regulatory bodies, and other outside support agencies. Demonstrate and ensure adherence to school mission, vision, values, and four
cornerstones.
3. Provide support and supervision to staff through role modeling, direct observation, supervision groups, and individual supervision.
4. Attend IEP meetings to contribute feedback pertaining to school program and reason(s) for placement. (When relevant/ as needed create IEP’s to assist in
caseload management).
5. Coordinate with Clinical Director of Schools, school counselor and behavior manager, crisis management and any necessary evaluations with FBH admissions
department as well as interface with outside support agencies.
6. Monitor, assess, and report on academic rigor/quality via monthly UHS Academic Accountability standards and School Improvement Plan.
7. Demonstrates knowledge of customer service and the ability to form and maintain relationships with school districts (referral sources) through ongoing
communication, marketing endeavors, IEP meetings and direct contact.
8. Provide administrative assistance in all areas to central office administrative team and FBH administrators.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Education or counseling with certification/license required. A valid PA Principal certification preferred. Must have a minimum of five years prior teaching/counseling experience with students exhibiting emotional and behavioral challenges, preferably in a Special Education or School setting. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
