We are pleased to announce the following available position:
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (COO) – FULL-TIME
The COO is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including clinical, utilization review, admission finance, safety, risk management, human resources, business development, budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as hospital policies and procedures. Reports directly to the CEO and works in conjunction with CEO on all hospital matters.
Directly supervises CNO, Admissions, Clinical Services and, Support Services. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with the CEO.
Qualifications
Education/Training:
- Master’s Level Degree required
Experience:
- 5-7 years in a leadership position, preferably in Adult Mental Health and Substance Abuse and Residential Treatment.
- Strong Knowledge and experience with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, AHCA, DCF)
- Knowledge and experience in community resources a great plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong Computer Skills
Licensure/Certification:
- Current Florida State Registered Nurse License and/or
- Current Florida Licensed Clinician (LCSW)
- Current Florida Driver’s License
- Current CPR Certification
- Successful completion of TEAM training, including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency and their treatment processes.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to provide training.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel)
- Extensive interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a loud and busy environment.
- Ability to meet facility and corporate deadlines in order to maintain compliance with regulating bodies.
