$1,000.00 SIGN ON BONUS: agreement and terms attached. Discussed upon job offer.

We are currently seeking a Financial Counselor/Admissions Representative. The Financial Counselor will be responsible for the Business Office function of admissions, discharges, insurance verification, billing and collection of payment. Additionally, the Financial Counselor will provide follow-up on insurance claims and patient balances in a productive, timely manner. The Financial Counselor serves as a patient resource on financial and payment matters. Must possess excellent computer literacy, to maintain integrity of data entered into facility systems and insurance companies. Billing will also be a large component of this position.  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Patient Account Manager or related technical certificate preferred.
• Two years of experience in collections and follow-up procedures in a hospital, healthcare office environment or institutional setting or insurance company.
• Knowledge of general office and phone skills, as well as excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with dealing with the genereal public or call center help desk.
