Beaumont Behavioral Health (a UHS facility): A bright and beautiful new 144-bed behavioral health facility, Beaumont Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to our community, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of patients.

Position Summary:

The HIM/Medical Records Clerk codes charts, faxes or mails discharge paperwork to the next level provider(s), files reports in chart, files completed charts in permanent file room and shift, assembles discharged chart in appropriate order, assists staff in retrieving charts and files back after usage, completes physician timeliness log, performs discharge chart analysis, copies and mails releases after appropriate release, abides by hospital and departmental procedures, and other duties as assigned by the HIM/Medical Records Director.  Ability to use paper charts and EMR.

Education: 

• Minimum of high school graduate or equivalent
• Additional education in HIM/Medical Records or related field
• Previous experience in Medical Records/Health Information required
• Previous Epic experience required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word necessary
