Responsibilities

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, behavioral health located in the beautiful Oakland Park, FL neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at FLBHC.

 

HR Clerk - PT - 30 hours weekly

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Human Resources Clerk, is responsible for providing human resources support for the facility HR Director, which includes recruiting for vacant positions, general employee orientations, and maintaining all personnel records and files.

Qualifications

 

Education/Training: 

  • Associate's Degree in business administration or related field is preferred.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

 Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) years experience in human resources management, preferably in a hospital or psychiatric health care setting; or any combination of education, training or experience.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  •  Assist in preparing personnel-related documents for JCAHO surveys.
  • Assist in the recruitment of all vacancies, including scheduling interviews, job placement in respective job areas, assists in the coordination of new hire orientation, provides new hires with photo ID.
  • Prepares personnel files and maintain personnel records in accordance to facility and corporate personnel policies and guidelines as instructed by HRD.
  • Conduct criminal and background checks for all new hires. Maintains accurate record keeping of all pending background checks, and informs respective department managers.
  • Assist new employees with completion of their personnel packets.
  • Audit personnel files, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
  • Assists HRD during open enrollment meetings
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Human Resource reports.
  • Responds to facility Human Resources Director requests for reports on timely basis.
  • Obtains appropriate paperwork for employee benefit authorizations, and inputs all personnel information for new hires and all status changes for current employees as directed by HRD.
  • Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices
