Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Team Lead is responsible for reviewing and processing check requests for multiple behavioral health facilities as well as assisting with weekly check runs. This position will be expected to provide work direction to the team and handle special research and facility issues. Previous experience in accounts payable is required. Knowledge in general accounting and experience with 1099 preparation is required. Successful candidates will be well organized, detail oriented, possess strong communication skills, produce accurate work product, and effectively meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Job Duties:

Processing for the larger more difficult facilities.
Process check requests, employee reimbursements and petty cash
Cut weekly AP checks
Create and track team members’ schedules
Provide work direction to team members
Handling special research or facility issues
Maintain contract and vendor set up logs
Compiling, sorting, and substantiating business transactions and reconciling vendor statements
Frequent communications with facility personnel
Coordinating year-end 1099 preparation

Qualifications

Education:

High School Graduate/Equivalent

 

Years of Related Experience

5-8

 

Knowledge:

Health care experience preferred. Accounts payable experience required.

 

Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills are required. Self-starter, team player, strong communication skills, customer oriented, leadership skills
