What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Occupational Therapist position at UHS?
The occupational therapist is responsible for providing competent evaluation and treatment to outpatients and/or inpatients in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. JCAHO standards and the APTA code of ethics. The Physical Therapist will provide intervention to individuals who experience a loss of and/or a deficiency in functional independence related to chronic, traumatic or developmental illness, impairment and/or disability. Lymphedema certified physical therapist with at least 135 minimum of 135 hours of formal lymphedema training. 5 years’ experience in evaluation, treatment and management of patients with lymphedema - manual lymph drainage and compression bandaging of upper and lower extremities. Interventions are developed with the patient and their family and/or significant other(s) as partners in the rehabilitative process. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
