Responsibilities and Duties
- LPN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
- Knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing procedures essential.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
- A minimum of one (1) year experience as an LPN in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred
- Currently licensed to practice practical nursing by the Ohio State Board of Nursing or have a Compact License from West Virginia
