The Corporate Supply Chain Department is currently seeking a dynamic and talented Manager - Information Services, Supply Chain Operations.

 

The Manager – Information Services, Supply Chain Operations manages and coordinates multiple projects and team initiatives involving corporate SCO/IS and field resources. Manages the implementation and support of UHS ERP clinical applications.  Manages all aspects of projects assigned from preparing project schedules and estimates through final implementation. Utilizes clinical expertise and project management methodologies to develop and implement plans and workflows to solve problems, determine resolutions and/or add features/functions to the current ERP information systems to benefit end users.  Works through the solution specific forums that govern application changes between the field and corporate.  Demonstrates understanding of facility regulatory requirements from a best practice and evidence based criteria. Provides direction and oversight in creating and optimizing reports for clinical and business stakeholders in acute and ambulatory care settings.  Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment completion. Shares experience and expertise by mentoring other members of team. Exercises operational responsibility for supervision, performance evaluation and direction of team. Performs financial, project and personnel management duties for the team.  Provides project direction to UHS entities as needed.

 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

System Implementation 

  • Regularly meets with SCO/IS Informatics, vendors, facility and corporate staff to develop application specifications.
  • Designs solutions for reporting applications and prepares the appropriate documentation.
  • Supervises a team that Performs Q/A on application functionality.
  • Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
  • Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.
  • Oversees employees who educate the end users in operating procedures for application.

 

Administration and Oversight 

  • Effectively trains analysts in performance of their duties as required.
  • Provides clinical and technical expertise and guidance to other team members as required.
  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.
  • Prepares and promptly submits all routine and special data requests.
  • Interviews applicants for vacant positions as needed using appropriate interview techniques.
  • Completes performance evaluations of direct reports as needed.
  • Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.

 

System Maintenance/Support 

  • Ensures ticketed issues are being addressed timely and with high quality.
  • Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies.
  • Establishes, supervises and maintains regular communications with user community.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five or more years of progressively more responsible ERP application experience with emphasis on clinical and analytic workflows, quality outcomes and application to SQL Scripting.
  • Supervision, direction and performance management of direct reports experience.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL, Dashboard development, Data Management/Warehouse, Crystal Report Writing, Microsoft Project, project management and report validation methods.
  • Working knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems analysis and procedures, including: consulting with users to determine system functional specifications; development, documentation, analysis, testing, or modification related to vendor design specifications.
  • Working knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics. Working knowledge of project management methods.
  • General familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support of the application.
  • Preferred knowledge Strat Sourcing application.
  • Acute Care Facility (Hospital) ERP Services & Project Management experience preferred.

Off hours and on-call support is expected.

 

Travel Requirements:   5% - 15% US travel (depending on projects)
