Responsibilities
Coastal Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and talented NURSE EDUCATOR to coordinate the organizing, implementing, and evaluating staff development programs of all departments and mandatory in-service education and training for staff, as appropriate. Serve as a program consultant to departmental supervisors and other clinical staff, with focus on specialized programs. Serves as CPR course instructor. Responsible for triaining and participation in facility-wide, new employee orientation and training updates. The Nurse Educator is responsible for implementing an established plan for a comprehensive Mental Health Training initiative across our system. Responsible for the assisting the CNO and other department heads in creating and implementing education programs, coordinate system wide trainings and awareness opportunities, provide trainings upon request, develop and maintain network of mentors/ preceptors to promote training and safety.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Selected skills /credentials as defined by the department’s scope of services.
- Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital
