The Western Region Consolidated Business Office provides business office services including billing, collections, cash posting, pre-access management, variance and customer service to our affiliated UHS facilities. We are seeking dynamic and talented individuals to join our team.
Job Description:
Responsible for duties necessary in the processing of patient billings from the date of discharge. Posts all payments received, balancing to deposit and remittance. Posts adjustments, ensuring appropriate account reconciliation and resolution. Hospital or clinic collection experience preferred. Basic accounting principles, credit, insurance billing and accounts receivable knowledge. Knowledge of coding rules and guidelines with the ability to appropriately interpret EOBs for acute care and ambulatory services. Knowledge of 835 process to ensure accurate posting of accounts. Requests and matches up missing EOBs in order to process payments. Positive attitude, ability to multi-task, attention to detail and time management skills are essential.
Qualifications
Education:
High School or equivalent.
Experience:
2 years healthcare/collection experience and or equivalent experience in a hospital setting.
Other:
Demonstrated knowledge of insurance billing relating to patient reimbursement.
Technical Skills:
Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and patient accounting system.
