What are the responsibilities and job description for the PSYCHOLOGIST position at UHS?
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide quality psychological testing for patients at Inland Northwest Behavioral Health and consult with staff in determining the treatment plan on each patient. Support the organization's treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to adults and adolescents.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AT ENTRY:
Doctoral degree in counseling psychology; successful completion of an American Psychological Association Accredited Clinical Internship Program of 2,000 hours; licensed by the WA State Board of Psychological Examiners as a Psychologist; Written and oral communication skills; skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention. Skills in administering psychological tests; knowledge of adult and adolescent psychological disorders. Advanced principals of abnormal psychology. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation; ability in maintaining information as highly confidential.
Qualifications
- Provide the following psychology services at the request from a qualified member of the medical staff:
- Diagnostic testing
- Individual, group and family therapies
- Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment conferences
- Participate in program development and evaluation
- Provide such services within the timeframes established by hospital policy and medical staff rules and regulations
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions and evaluations as established by hospital policy and medical staff rules and regulations
- Assist the hospital CEO in the review of policies and procedures related to psychological services on an as needed basis
