Respiratory Therapist Per Diem located at Corona Regional Rehabilitation Subacute Unit in Corona, Ca
Reporting to Respiratory Care Practitioner Supervisor this position provides respiratory therapy which includes assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation including ABG lab procedures, puncture and analysis and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Provides consultation, instruction, and/or technical direction to medical, nursing, and other staff members. Does limited cardiology diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications
Essential Knowledge/Skills
Demonstrates basic knowledge of respiratory care intervention associated with patient’s disease status. Exhibits knowledge of technical skills required to implement safe respiratory care and health promotion of the hospitalized patient as demonstrated through practices; airway management and maintenance, including endotracheal intubation and tracheostomy care, and mechanical ventilator care, bronchial hygiene, diagnostic testing (ie: ABG laboratory procedure, ABG puncture and analysis, bronchoscopy and/or EBUS, spirometry, and pulse oximetry), 12 lead ECG rhythms, medicated respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, maintenance of equipment and supplies, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Essential Experience
Minimum of 1 year of Acute and Critical Care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred.
Minimum Essential Education/Credentials
High School graduate or equivalent
As of July 10, 2019, must possess Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential granted by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain credential throughout employment tenure.
As of July 10, 2019, Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy

Current RCP License from the state of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
