Responsibilities
Palm Shores is accepting applications for a Shift Supervisor.
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center (PSBHC) is an intensive inpatient psychiatric program for males and females, ages 5 to 17 years old. We offer a highly structured supportive and safe environment for children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, family, and social challenges.
The Shift Supervisor performs supervisory functions over all Mental Health Techs and direct patient care duties in a residential behavioral health setting. The Shift Supervisor ensures facility policies are enforced. This position also handles all MHT call offs and schedules replacement. The Shift Supervisor is also a trainer for the facility.
The Shift Supervisor is required to work weekends, days and evenings.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; AA or BA in psychology preferred
Experience: 3-5 years’ experience as MHT with 1 year supervisory experience or a degree in mental health filed with 2 years as MHT, 1 year supervisory
License/Certification: CPR; Handle With Care
Verification of absence of criminal record on local, state and federal levels.
Skills: Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to maintain composure under stressful situations while upholding facility mission and vision.
Physical Requirements: Extensive walking, standing, sitting, Must be able to lift over fifty (50 lbs.) pounds. Must be to participate in the physical restraint and seclusion of patients. Must be able to participate in and complete Handle With Care Training on semi and an annual basis and be CPR certified.
Other:Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Nursing, Chief Executive Officer.
