The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Telecommunication Analyst II.

 

The Telecommunication Analyst II Maintains responsibility for the analysis and interpretation of processes surrounding all telecommunications requisitions and invoices. Analyzes, validates and approves telecom service invoices. Identifies opportunities, implements and tracks cost savings and cost avoidance. Tracks, manages and resolves invoice/billing problems/disputes with various telecom suppliers through closure. Identifies opportunities to improve processes and streamline work for the overall team. Ensures that telecom expenses are allocated to the correct cost centers and Facility Codes.

 

Participates in the review and processing of all telecommunications requests, including, but not limited to: equipment-ordering, installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting. Contributes to the efficient daily operation of the Telecommunications department. Interacts with the end user community; develops specifications for requests for proposals (RFP’s); obtains vendor quotations and produces capital acquisition requests and project authorization cost requests.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Administers, in coordination with vendors and end-users, the planning and installation of new services and modification of existing services to provide efficient and reliable systems in accordance with sound network management practices and methods.
  • Develops specifications for requests for proposals (RFP’s). Acquires vendor quotations and prepares Capital Acquisition Requests (CAR’s) and Project Authorization Cost (PAC’s). Manages all telecom related invoicing.
  • Uses Service Desk Ticketing and ATT Business Direct ticketing system to manage trouble calls and projects with the Customer Support Center (CSC) for end user issues.
  • Participates in the monitoring of voice and data network performance and reliability to assure minimum interruptions in network service.
  • Performs adds, moves and changes as needed throughout the enterprise and assists with related service desk issues.
  • Serves as liaison with vendors during trouble determination, evaluation, and resolution.
  • Works with Manager or Telecom Analyst on day-to-day operations and special projects.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Telecom Auditing and Telecom billing including end user telecommunications services such as mobility and audio conferencing.
  • 3-5 years of experience with working directly with telecommunications suppliers/carriers.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry.
  • Maintenance of Corporate Avaya Telecom Systems endpoints including moves, adds and changes.
  • Administration of Avaya Modular Messaging Voice Mail System. Administration of the Call Center including ACD groups, Vectors, VDN’s, Skill Groups, EAS agent login ID’s and Centre Vu access for end users.
  • Coordination of a team of cable technicians for installations of voice and data cable for LAN/WAN and PBX connectivity throughout the company.
  • Installation of telecommunications equipment for headquarters and remote locations.
  • Project Management of other telecommunications projects.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Exposure to Avaya systems required. Familiar with basic telecomm related hand tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Analytical ability to organize, evaluate, and present complex data.

 

Travel Requirements: 5% - 25% US or International travel.
