Senior Analyst - Investment Banking

Position Summary

THE FOCUS IS YOU: 

UHY’s Corporate Finance team is on the hunt for a self-motived individual who wants to join a fast-paced, middle-market investment banking team with the opportunity to learn from professionals with years of Wall Street experience.

The new hire will be deeply involved in all aspects of the M&A process from client development to transaction closing. Senior Analysts are responsible for providing M&A professionals with support and various deal materials.  Senior Analysts will handle complex financial analyses, presentation materials, and transactions, and will be involved in direct communication with clients and prospects, including immediate participation in meetings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):

• Assess financial and qualitative information and construct financial models, information memorandums, pitchbooks, and related analyses
• Support deal management working with clients, prospects, and internal team members by assuring deadlines are set and met
• Support the team in marketing and business development activities through participation in marketing efforts, networking events, and the preparation of pitchbooks and related materials
• Participate meaningfully in all aspects of transaction development and execution
• Develop and present analyses and presentations in client and prospect meetings
• Identify strategic and financial buyers and sellers
• Participate in M&A strategy development discussions
• Draft information memorandum and management presentations
• Coordinate and support due diligence
• Develop detailed and accurate financial models including DCF analyses, LBO models, and comparable transactions analyses
• Monitor relevant transactions, capital market trends, company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and other economic information
• Mentoring and training junior members of the team
• Data room creation and management

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• 2 years of investment banking / corporate finance experience (or in a related field)
• Experience supporting the M&A transaction process and familiar with complex transactions

Education

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar concentration

License / Certification

• Series 7, 79, and/or 63 designations a plus
