Overview
PROJECT MANAGER (UICPSS-22-0738-W): Bowhead seeks a Project Manager to join our team in support of the upcoming proposal. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day staffing, financials and contract requirements of this contract. The Project Manager will be expected to act as the Point of Contact for the government customer, provide leadership and mentorship to employees and to provide daily day-to-day direction on-site to ensure the success of this contract. Essential functions will include: o Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects o Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget o Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility o Ensure resource availability and allocation o Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress o Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques o Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques o Report and escalate to management as needed o Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders o Perform risk management to minimize potential risks o Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors o Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation o Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project o Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels o Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals o Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis o Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members o Use and continually develop leadership skills o Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency o Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
� Bachelors degree and 5-8 years of professional experience is required.
� Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Preferred
� Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
� Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
� Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: No security clearance required.
