Bowhead is seeking a Software Engineers to provide technical support to CIDS software programs in Dam Neck, VA

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will be to provide technical support to CIDS software programs, applications, project planning and estimation, scheduling, tracking progress, monitoring and reporting, risk management documentation development and reporting.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide software development, integration, modification, production and maintenance of signal processing models
• Work closely across software engineers to develop and test rapid prototype systems using an in a rapid prototyping environment
• Support and develop test procedures to test system functionality and generate software troubleshoot reports
• Prepare documentation and support configuration management guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience as a scrum master, managing technical project via a plan of action / milestones.
• Experience with developing data visualizations (ex: ChartJS, d3js, Raphael).
• Experience with scrum process, managing technical project via a plan of action / milestones.
• Experience with developing data visualizations (ex: ChartJS, d3js, Raphael). DevOps experience, building and deploying via a combination of JenkinsCI (groovy/Jenkinsfile) and PowerShell scripting. Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, ingesting large amounts of data from an external source into the database.
• Experience with system administration on the Windows 10 / Windows Server 2016/2019 platforms.
• Experience maintaining a Git repository. Ability to mitigate/correct merge conflicts and/or issues committed to the master branch. Ability to identify technical risks and report them upstream. Experience isolating software/network/database bottlenecks and optimizations in a webserver environment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
