Postdoc Research Associate - College of Pharmacy - Pharmaceutical Sciences - Freitag Lab

The Freitag lab is focused on understanding how bacterial pathogens cause disease in humans and animals. The lab uses a variety of approaches including bacterial genetics, biochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology to define the bacterial factors that enable microbes to invade and replicate within mammalian hosts. The lab is also interested in developing new strategies to combat disease and limit microbial infection.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Keep accurate record of the experiments suitable for writing manuscripts and grant proposals.
  • Present the results at scientific meetings.
  • Participate in weekly lab meetings, Journal Clubs and common seminars within the Department.
  • Design and conduct experiments using genetic, biochemical, and cell biology-based approaches.
  • Train other laboratory personnel.
  • Maintain mouse colony.
