We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Commercial IT function! About Commercial IT Commercial IT is a global IT capability supporting the Commercial organisation. We business partner with Commercial areas: Biopharma, Oncology, International and Japan – and also Rare Disease Unit. We operate out of hubs sites including in the UK, Sweden, US and out of our Global Innovation Technology Centres in India and Mexico – and in markets all over the world. About the role Our Marketing technology stack is built from market leading products including many from the Adobe Experience Cloud platform. In this role you will be working with the AEM Platform engineering lead with key focus on Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target. In addition, you will drive platform improvement initiatives across these products to improve Governance, Performance, Security and Productivity. The platform is key to providing Patients and Health Care Professional the vital information and personalised experiences that they need at any given moment in time for any health conditions that they are either being treated or treating for. Upcoming projects of work include: Improving governance and standards for Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target Continuous innovation across the platform Automation and application of AI / ML Your responsibilities will include: Working with platform leads and taking ownership of specific platform improvement initiatives. Contributing to overall platform roadmap and helping to deliver Hands on technical POC work for platform improvements. Reviews new demand for in depth analysis and provide recommendations, make decisions etc Solutioning including technical writing and responsibility for solution blueprints. Guiding / Leading development teams for implementation of solutions and being an SME / point of contact All aspects of planning, analysis, design, configuration, testing toward the implementation of IT Platforms and Products. Working closely with third party suppliers. The development focus will be primarily on the SSD demand portfolio which includes projects and releases on Commercial IT platforms. Essential skills & experience Degree level education in computer science or similar Prior experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment with good eye for business Shown experience of maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliers Experience with multiple different types software risks Significant experience in a solution architect-level role Direct hands-on experience Evidence of designing, shaping and implementing innovative solutions and driving any changes Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language Expertise in Agile Software Development techniques and Methodologies Expertise in Web and Mobile Application Engineering Expertise in application design patterns and processes Expertise in Continuous Integration and Deployment methods delivered as part of an agile team Prior significant experience working in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry IT environment A broad understanding of cloud architecture Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work within both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies Proven experience of managing and coaching/mentoring offshore teams of developers Proven experience of developing and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers Strong written and verbal communications skills Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines WHY JOIN US?
