Our client, specialise in municipal wastewater treatment and the construction of waste-to-energy plants using a wide range of source materials. These technologies help our clients reduce CO2 emissions and minimise operating costs. With proven technologies already operating in Europe, we anticipate considerable interest and rapid expansion in this sector.
The successful candidate to have experience and/or qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline, most likely mechanical engineering. While experience in project engineering within the water/wastewater sector is an advantage, we are also open to considering newly qualified engineers.
Although this position will be based in the post-contract department, flexibility is essential. All staff members are expected to undertake various tasks as needed to meet business demands, including pre-contract work and occasional site work.
Post-Contract Responsibilities:
Training will be provided as necessary, combining hands-on experience and discussions on work processes. Additional formal training will be offered as needed. A period of training in Germany may be required, making a valid passport essential.

Post-Contract Responsibilities:
- Specifying and purchasing equipment, overseeing its manufacture and delivery, ensuring quality and compliance with company and client specifications.
- Producing general contract documentation, including equipment schedules and data sheets.
- Creating Health & Safety documentation, such as risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, and safety instructions.
- Developing Functional Design Specifications based on operating process concepts.
- Providing periodic technical support for clients with water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Assisting in the market introduction, sales, support, and servicing of new water/wastewater treatment products and technologies.
- Day-to-day liaison with clients and contractors.
- Engaging in commercial and technical negotiations with suppliers.
- (Optional) Producing drawings using software design packages such as AutoCAD, subject to capability.
- Organising and receiving equipment deliveries.
- Supervising installations.
- Daily liaison with clients and contractors.
- Plant commissioning (process/electrical/mechanical), requiring familiarity with PLC-based control systems.
- Conducting on-site pre-commissioning electrical checks.
- Producing method statements, risk assessments, and working with permit systems.
- Preparing site reports and paperwork, including site instructions and variations.
- Providing on-site support and technical expertise.
- Offering periodic technical support for clients with various water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Fault finding and rectification.
- Conducting service visits to clients.
- Specifying equipment requirements.
- Coordinating with equipment/system suppliers.
- Preparing quotations and drawings.
- Assisting with sales to clients.
- Following up and liaising with clients, potentially including meetings.
- Preparing detailed designs as part of the post-contract team.
- Conducting site visits to gather information for quotation preparation.
