Job Overview:
UHS has a door installation opening. This position leads/supports the installation process of Lowe’s purchased doors & install of those doors. Fabrication, construction, structural repairs and carpentry/masonry skills required. Ability to work with wood products by following blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions, using carpentry tools and equipment necessary. Maintains supplies inventory.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform installation of doors while complying with specifications as well as regulatory code requirements, safety procedures and techniques
- Review customer work order and all instructions/drawings before leaving on assignments to clarify work to be completed at customer’s home
- Responsible for the installation of the doors, exterior/interior trim and apply clean caulking line
- Scheduled work
- Weekly pay
- Installer shirts and other company gear
- Office support for issues on the job
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers during all phases of project
- Maintain installation records
- Keep residence clean and orderly
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 recent years of Door installation
- Must be 18 years or older
- Keen attention to detail with an ability to spot errors
- Installer to practices lead safe guidelines in homes testing positive for - must be lead certified
- Installer supplied permit to perform work quoted based on any local, state or federal requirement - must be able to pull permits
- Installer must be able to pass background check
- Physically able to carry doors. and have own tools and van.
- Installer must be able to provide own insurance (General Liability, etc.)
- Basic math abilities including using a tape measure, converting metrics to fractions, calculations percentages and angles
