Job Description
The Forming Supervisor oversees the Forming Department, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
They manage daily operations, maintain ERP accuracy, optimize raw material usage, and ensure compliance with company, customer, and ISO standards.
What You'll Do :
- Supervise and support department personnel, including Team Leads, Operators, Coordinators, and Material Handlers.
- Conduct HR duties, including recruitment, performance reviews, and compliance.
- Coordinate workload distribution, monitor employee hours, and conduct regular department meetings for feedback.
- Monitor production activities, maintain schedules, and attend production meetings.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, conduct root cause analysis on quality defects, and manage inventory.
- Assist in new product development, identify cost-saving opportunities, and propose investments.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and conduct R&D projects.
- Support management decisions and maintain a positive attitude.
- Assess systems, initiate enhancements, and provide recommendations to senior management.
What You'll Need :
- Strong initiative, flexibility, and multitasking abilities.
- Understanding of technical customer requirements and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Leadership skills fostering productivity, quality, service, and safety.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, along with 5 years of supervisory experience in packaging manufacturing.
- Effective communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Proficient math skills, excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in packaging manufacturing Required
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish REQUIRED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
- Strong understanding of technical customer requirements.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and math skills.
Additional Information :
- Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
- Direct Hire position with comprehensive benefits package
- Location : Nashua, NH (100% onsite )
