Development and Planning Consulting Firm
Complex residential, commercial, agricultural, municipal and industrial projects.
Conceptual design phase to the public hearing process, provide the requisite land use planning services.
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a municipal planner or private sector planning consultant.
- Team management experience.
- Excellent professional writing abilities, organizational and time management habits, and an unshakable desire to learn and grow are simply a few of these skills and qualities.
Knowledge of and experience with the California Coastal Act (CCA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), California Fish and Wildlife Codes, Clean Water Act (CWA), Subdivision Map Act (SMA), Building Codes, Zoning Laws and a firm understanding of principles of planning, zoning, and architecture would benefit applicants who are interested. Additional experience that would be of benefit to our team is that of a leader who is familiar with managing and processing complex entitlements for coastal development projects. Education in Land Use Planning, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or law would also be helpful in rounding out our most expert team.
While AICP, LEED AP, or CEP certifications are certainly not required, we again recognize what these achievements take time and dedication, and we seek out these qualities in potential team members. Knowledge of GIS, CAD, SketchUp and other similar programs is definitely a plus!
