The Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all incoming shipments of materials and products are processed accurately . Duties include receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments and checking contents against the original purchase order.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Receives incoming shipments and completes shipping carrier paperwork upon receipt.
* Unloads and unpacks materials and products.
* Inspects packages and contents for damage or contamination.
* Verifies material quantity and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
* Updates the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with receipt information and status.
* Correctly labels incoming materials and systematically stores them in their assigned locations using either carts or forklift transportation
* Ensures receipt of materials, and stocks the incoming items in an organized and timely manner.
* Safety unload and load trucks using forklifts and other equipment.
* Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, trucks, or forklifts, to transport goods and materials to and from various locations.
* Follows department SOPs and work instructions and adheres to receiving standards.
* Maintains accurate records and assists in inventory control processes.
* Maintains a safe and clean work area.
* Cross trains in other areas to learn Supply Chain processes.
* Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* One plus years of experience in receiving preferred.
* Experience with material handling is a plus.
* Possession of an active California driver's license is mandatory and clean DMV record.
* Demonstrates proficiency in operating open box trucks; prior experience in operating box trucks equipped with lift gates preferred.
* Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification. Certification training provided onsite.
* Experience with an enterprise resource planning system such as QAD is a plus.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to follow instructions and complete additional responsibilities.
* Attention to detail and quality focused.
* Schedule adherence and dependability.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and meet production goals.
* Able to lift 50 lbs.
* Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and completing on-the-job training.
* Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
