Buyer (this will be a hybrid position of in-office and remote work) Buyer, are you ready to be a part of a dynamic purchasing team who is procuring cutting edge technology? We are seeking candidates who are able to drive purchasing activities in a fast-paced, results-oriented purchasing department. Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude and are able to adapt to a fast-paced environment that requires meeting deadlines, following procedures and maintaining a high energy. You will be responsible for the following: Purchasing of inventory materials, both domestically, and internationally, for use in the manufacturing of dental products Expediting and deferring purchase orders Inventory management Obtaining hard cost savings Working closely with Product Development and manufacturing planners Reports and special projects Analyzing purchasing history Provide input into developing product specifications Management of purchase through the entire lifecycle/cradle to grave Maintain confidentiality WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Understanding of purchasing principles, and practices, including governing ordinances Principles and methods of negotiations Principles, practice, and procedures for inventory and quality control Strong knowledge of MRP Experience working in an ERP system, preferably Oracle Demonstrated expertise with MS office suite Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers and suppliers Ability to plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and deadlines WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Purchasing in a manufacturing setting is preferred Minimum of two years purchasing experience with MRP High school diploma: some college preferred Ultradent is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
