Summary: assemble, adjust, troubleshoot packaging and processing equipment. Assist manufacturing team in areas of assembly, materials handling, shipping/receiving and other areas as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and build quality electrical wiring and components for complete packaging and processing equipment.
- Participate in training program that includes equipment operation and maintenance.
- Operate and test machinery.
- Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and material to production supervisor.
- Confer with engineers, technicians, production personnel and others to learn methodology.
- Perform and execute quality workmanship.
- Additional activities or group projects as determined by the intern program.
Education and/or Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a college program or certification program focusing on engineering, mechanical, industrial, and/or electrical experience.
- Completed coursework from college or technical school in engineering, mechanics or electrical studies preferred.
- Basic use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings.
- Able to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
