Umbra Cuscinetti, Inc., (UCI) is the U.S. base for the Italian-owned UmbraGroup, a visionary operation revolutionizing motion solutions in aerospace, industrial and energy markets. The Role
The QA Administrator uses knowledge of regulatory requirements to assess, document and maintain the document control system for the quality of manufactured products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain internal audit system.
- Administrative operation of the corrective action system.
- Coordinate calibration with outside suppliers.
- Maintain document control system.
- Support of customer and agency audits.
- Participate in FAI. (First Article Inspection)
- Identify and participate in quality improvement opportunities.
- Reporting customer and regulatory requirements to assess their effect on the internal quality system.
- Participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
- High School education with a minimum of 2 years of administrative or manufacturing experience.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Knowledge of quality system requirements.
- Knowledge of AS9100 (regulatory) requirements with some knowledge of aerospace requirements.
- Knowledge of NADCAP and FAA regulations
- Experience with reading, analyzing and interpretation of aerospace technical engineering documentation (drawings, models, specifications, procedures).
- Experience with 8D, RCCA, Poka Yoke, Six Sigma Methodology, TQM, 5Why, 5S, SIPOC.
- Familiarity with Inspection Methods and Tools.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Preferred: ASQ Certification
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to use data-collection hardware and software and translate collected data into meaningful results. Must also have proficiency with computer applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Access, Share Point.
Language Ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Ability to draw, analyze and interpret data into graphical representations, such as a bar graph or pie chart.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The job duties that are affected by the environmental conditions are of a typical factory and product manufacturing environment and its equipment including occasionally noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Safety glasses and are required when on the shop floor.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. Inspection personnel shall be vision tested by a licensed qualified medical technician and shall have, as a minimum, the capability of reading Jaeger J-2 or Ortho-Rater 8 letters or better at 12 inches in at least one eye, either natural or corrected.
