We are looking for an Accountant to support the finance team in all facets of accounting and financial reporting. The primary responsibility will be the reconciliation and accuracy of all general ledger items. Other responsibilities include verifying and posting transactions to journals, supporting tax compliance, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements and footnotes as required. This detail-oriented person completes accounting tasks to support operations and financial reporting, while managing reconciliations and supporting schedules for external reporting. Other duties may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities, including maintaining supporting schedules and general ledger accounts with a heavy emphasis on accounting for fixed assets
- Preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for fixed assets and other accounts as assigned (examples include prepaids, accrued expenses, cash, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Engineering and other Departments to ensure proper recording and accounting of fixed assets
- Monthly review and reporting of departmental and expense coding
- Assist with payroll tax filings and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance
- Support quarterly and annual GAAP financial preparation and maintenance
- Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
- Assist with annual auditor requests and other compliance-oriented tasks
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance or a related field
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems and databases
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment
Desired Qualifications
- Public or larger private company accounting experience
- Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- CPA certification is a plus

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by skills, responsibilities and relevant work experience.
