Heat Treat, Plating and Waste Treatment Operator

Description

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to read and interpret instructional materials (blue prints, set-up sheets)

• Must be able to wear respirator

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Must have excellent safety record 

• Must be able to safely and independently handle hazardous chemicals, furnaces and plating line, training to proficiency

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Batch Heat Treating

• Induction Hardening

• Plating

• Metallurgical Evaluation

• Hazardous Waste Management, Waste Treatment Plant, Chemical Handling

• Independently set-up and operate equipment

• Training of other operators

• Maintaining fixturing and tooling

• Daily preventive maintenance

• Quality responsibilities

• 6S

• Industrial truck (i.e. fork truck, scissor lift)

• If work in a FAA safety sensitive area, must participate in the anti-drug and alcohol random testing program

• Perform job functions and tasks required by management and supervisors

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Due to ITAR regulations, must be a U.S. Person

• High school diploma or equivalent

Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, set-up sheets, travelers, procedure manuals and government regulations. 

Computer Skills:

Must be able to use the computer and computer software as required by job.
