Who we are:
UMFS is a nonprofit organization that provides a comprehensive array of programs to support children, teens, and parents as they work to overcome challenges. We equip families with tools for success so they can achieve their goals. As a national leader in helping young people and families, we also proactively identify unmet social services needs and develop the necessary partnerships to address those needs.
What we do:
Serve families with children through age 21 that have a serious emotional disturbance that is diagnosable under the DSM-IV. Population to be served will have one or more of the following: a mental health problem, a co-occurring mental health, and substance abuse problem, contact with the social services system, juvenile justice or court system, require emergency services or require long term community mental health and other supports.
What we are looking for:
A Family Support Partner to support the System of Care in central region by providing admin support and data support to the program. Provide peer support to assigned cases in the program by assisting parents with successful engagement, advocacy, and connection to formal and informal resources helping them to understand wraparound process/services and build resiliency as a family.
