What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Administrator position at UNC-Chapel Hill?
THIS IS A TIME-LIMITED POSITION WITH AN ESTIMATED DURATION OF 2 YEARS.Flexible work arrangements, including virtual/hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine's Working Forward initiative. As such, this position's work location is designated as remote with occasional meetings onsite. Please note that the designated work location is subject to change based on the unit's business needs.The Parking Administrator will report to the Associate Director of Business Operations and will work closely with the parking coordinators across departments. The position will manage the overall allotment of SOM parking, working with parking coordinators to meet the needs of our faculty and staff in all three mission areas; work collaboratively with the University parking office to meet these needs; offer problem resolution and guide parking coordinators through possible options to meet faculty and staff needs. This position will be responsible for training new parking coordinators. The position also will be responsible for regular communications on updates from the parking office to ensure our faculty and staff are aware of changing transit issues or policies. The position will assume responsibility for the management and assignment of waitlist requests from the parking office for SOM faculty and staff. The position will guide an ad-hoc committee that will meet regularly to review the process, address specific questions about new policies, or waitlist releases. As part of the Dean's Office, the position may also support other projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
