We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nightshift Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing, leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment. As the Nightshift Charge RN, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating patient care during the night shift, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient healthcare services.
Leadership and Supervision:

- Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing staff during the night shift.
- Coordinate and assign patient care responsibilities based on acuity and staffing levels.
- Act as a resource and mentor to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Patient Care:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department.
- Prioritize and manage multiple patients with diverse needs and conditions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and timely care.

Emergency Response:
- Demonstrate expertise in emergency nursing practices.
- Respond effectively to critical situations, providing immediate and appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in emergency situations.

Documentation and Communication:
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
- Report and document incidents or concerns as per hospital policies.

Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing patient care outcomes.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and procedures, and work towards their resolution.
Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. Hiring compensation ranges from $30.50 - $39.65 / hour. This rate is not reflective of shift differentials which is added on top of the base rate of pay. This position is eligible for benefits after a 60-day waiting period.
Minimum Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

2 years of experience in Med/Surg preferred

Prior experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
