The Practice Manager for the Heart and Vascular Center at Watauga Medical Center plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the cardiovascular practice. This position requires a dynamic individual with a background in healthcare management or nursing, committed to delivering exceptional patient care, optimizing efficiency, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The Practice Manager will lead a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to policies, protocols, and regulatory standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care.

Leadership and Team Management:

Provide effective leadership to the clinical and administrative staff within the Heart and Vascular Center.

Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and professional growth.

Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions to support employee development and performance improvement.

Collaborate with departmental leaders to recruit, onboard, and retain qualified personnel.

Operational Management:

Oversee the daily operations of the Heart and Vascular Center, including patient scheduling, registration, billing, and medical records management.

Ensure efficient patient flow and optimize resource utilization to minimize wait times and maximize patient satisfaction.

Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety.

Financial Management:

Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the annual budget for the Heart and Vascular Center.

Monitor financial performance metrics, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.

Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost containment strategies while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Strategic Planning and Business Development:

Participate in strategic planning initiatives to support the growth and expansion of cardiovascular services.

Evaluate market trends, patient needs, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for service line development.

Cultivate relationships with referring physicians, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the Heart and Vascular Center's services.

Quality Improvement and Patient Experience:

Lead initiatives to enhance the quality of care, patient safety, and clinical outcomes within the Heart and Vascular Center.

Monitor patient satisfaction scores, identify areas for improvement, and implement action plans to address patient feedback.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Hiring gross annual compensation ranges from $63,440.00- $91,988.00. This is an exempt position.
