Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of five health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. Position Summary |
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. The Office of Experiential Programs and Interprofessional Affairs extends the School’s academic mission and is comprised of a number of faculty and professional staff, each with specified areas of responsibility. The Office functions as a cohesive unit where teamwork, collaboration, and innovation are encouraged and celebrated. The Career Services Coordinator oversees student career development for the PharmD program. This includes but is not limited to, working to further the career development of all PharmD students on both the Chapel Hill and Asheville campus and the overall goals of the division. The Career Services Coordinator will also manage financial literacy programming and support the delivery of student services for PharmD students in the experiential environment. The Career Services Coordinator reports to the Director of Experiential Student and Career Services. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with University Career Services, Associate Dean for Advancement and President of the Foundation, Director of Marketing and Communications, Director, Office of Organizational Effectiveness, Planning and Assessment, Director, Office of Student Affairs, faculty and student organizations delivering career services content, external partners, alumni and employers. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities associated with the delivery and/or management of student support functions, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and at least 1 year of relevant experience in substitution. |

Other position requirements include: superior interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities and deadlines; ability to collaborate with a wide variety of constituents; ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner; ability to gather, synthesize, manipulate, and interpret data for reporting purposes, a proven ability to manage programs, including planning, resource allocation, program assessment, and budget allocation; and a commitment to excellence. |

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities | This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities. |
