Regional Manager, Uncommon James Store
The Regional Store Manager develops, motivates, and inspires our Store Teams to create engaged Teams, an exceptional customer experience, and outstanding operational efficiencies. They exercise independent judgment and discretion in developing and articulating strategies to drive the store business and culture. This individual connects Store Teams with the overall company strategies and, in collaboration with Store Managers, translate them into store level plans. This individual will advocate to ensure the Store Teams have all resources and support to be successful. This individual will also be a critical member of the New Store Opening Team and facilitate the retail growth initiatives for Uncommon James.
Essential Job Functions
- Fully and consistently execute the company’s plans & initiatives across all retail stores under your responsibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Finance, Merchandising, Inventory Planning and Marketing to ensure cohesiveness in executing the UJ Brand
- Work closely with leadership to create and implement goals and incentives for stores that align with the company’s strategic plans
- Manage P&L across all locations to ensure financial stewardship and positive EBITDA results
- Influence and advocate within the HQ environment to ensure that the stores’ voice is heard
- Reviews store financial components, analyzing Key Performance Indicators for trends, opportunities, and deficiencies and coaches as appropriate.
- Spend time in stores, leading store leadership in implementation and execution of merchandising and operations initiatives
- Achieve/exceed sales goals, as well as targeted goals (e.g., shrink, traffic, conversion)
- Facilitate Store Managers in promoting and supporting strong store relationships with the community
- Forecast talent needs for stores and proactively attract, hire, onboard, and train store managers.
- Develop and coach direct reports on the performance of their duties and facilitate their professional development
- Assist in the development of all visual directives and ensure they are executed seamlessly and within scheduled time frame and allotted payroll budget
- Communicate current trends and competitor strategies in the market
- Lead a variety of new store opening activities including site selection, liaising with architects/contractors, hiring, backroom organization, and merchandising
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, or related field required
- 4 years of increasing experience in retail management; including minimum 2 years’ experience as a Store Manager; Regional experience preferred
- Overnight and daily travel is required
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, & planning
