Position Summary
The Analyst of FP&A – Margin will transform how Under Armour operates by embedding data and analytical insights into our core work processes to provide key insights and reporting that will influence the strategic decisions related to Gross Margin.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Own seasonal Product Margin reporting based on inputs from UA sourcing partners and Regional forecasts; Complicated and highly visible process and reporting; Cross-functional work with Sourcing, Development Op’s, Global Product/Merch, & FP&A
- Creation of toolkits for Sourcing & Regional partners to support each seasonal Product Margin report
- Support quarterly Product Margin bottoms up forecasting for Regional FP&A teams
- Update Product Margin forecast vs. actuals variance analysis reporting to analyze key performance drivers
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance team to explain quarterly/yearly Gross Margin movements to critical stakeholders (i.e. CFO/COO, Board of Directors, Investors)
- Work cross functionally with Regional Finance, Product, Merchandising, and Planning teams to share findings and provide key strategic recommendations that drive business decisions.
- Develop more efficient reporting tools and processes
- Support all reporting and analytics for FP&A Margin team
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Experience in revenue generation, pricing, costing.
- Technical Experience with:
- Visualization (one or multiple): Tableau, Spotfire, Lumira, DB3/JS
- Analytic software (one or multiple): KNIME, Alteryx, RapidMiner, etc.
- Databases (one or multiple): Access, SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, etc.
- Reporting tools (one or multiple): SAP Business Objects, Oracle NetSuite, IBM Cognos, PowerBI etc.
- Ability to get results in ambiguous/ever changing environment.
- Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and influence others inside and outside of their direct-reporting lines.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels across geographic regions and articulate ideas, financial results, and actionable recommendations.
Education And / Or Experience
- Bachelors in a business or quantitative degree (Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Operation Research, Systems Engineering, Decisions Sciences, Applied Math, Economics etc.)
- 0-3 years of analytic experience

- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
- Work-Life Integration (WLI) Designation: Two (2) days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote

- Base Salary Range: $62,377 - $85,768 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
