Job Description
JOB TITLE: Maintenance Manager
Reports To: Director of Operations
Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for applying techniques and expertise to control the operations of your department by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees daily operations and personnel within department
Establishes and manages preventive maintenance and continuous improvement of maintenance processes
Ensures interdepartmental communication
Responsible for training, coaching and development, and performance reviews
Maintains service logs
Development and implementation of SOP’s
Ensures high levels of operational safety of all machines and equipment
Enforces ISO And OSHA requirements
ATTENDANCE:
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises various amounts of employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or Technical Degree preferred or equivalent combination of field related technical education and manufacturing management experience. Must have min. 10 years in shop environment, 5yrs in shop management experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Database Software (Global Shop); Development Software; Internet Software; Manufacturing Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Inventory Software; Project Word Processing Software (Word); and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
