RN Hospice Nurse

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Nurse to join our team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support their families during this difficult time. Your role will involve providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' condition and report any changes or concerns to the physician
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding end-of-life care
- Coordinate services such as home health aides, social workers, and chaplains to ensure holistic care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care

Skills:
- Experience working with children and adults in hospice or palliative care settings
- Proficient in performing procedures such as venipuncture, wound care, and suture removal
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and documentation standards
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient condition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Compassionate nature with a focus on providing comfort and support to patients and their families
- Familiarity with nursing home regulations and memory care practices
- Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RN (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Arlington, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
