What are the responsibilities and job description for the C & O Crew- Madison, NC position at Unifi?
The position titled Texturing C&O Crew is responsible to clean SSM and Murata winding machines.
The Texturing C&O Crew follows a weekly cleaning schedule in order to clean the SSM and new and old Murata
machines. The machines are blown off with an air hose and hand wiped from top to bottom using a rag. The
crew uses four-wheel caster rolling stools and assumes sitting positions as they spray alcohol onto the machine
and clean machine parts to include rollers and the thread line clean from accumulated debris. After completing
one position, they will roll their stool to the next position and continue with their cleaning responsibilities. On a
weekly basis, the Texturing C&O Crew will clean the vacuum blowers and change the blower filters.
We now offer new competitive hourly rates starting at $17.75 with top pay up to $17.75. In addition, our updated enhanced shift premiums of $1.00 for 12-hour night shifts.
Are you qualified for the position?
- Clean winding machines by blowing off lint or debris that has accumulated onto parts and housing.
- Hand wipe machine with rag.
- Spray alcohol onto machine parts wiping off rollers and thread line from yarn debris.
- Remove any yarn buildup around machine parts as needed.
- Clean vacuum blowers and change filters on blowers weekly.
