UniFocus is an integrated workforce management software platform offering daily work order management, scheduling & labor management, and time & attendance purpose-built for the hospitality market and other dynamic scheduling environments. We have ~ 200 full-time employees working either remotely or in corporate offices in Carrollton, TX 90 FTEs, Denver, CO 12, and New Delhi, India 70, with the balance spread across Europe and Singapore.

Job Summary:
The "Technical Project Manager" will coordinate all project reporting for the technical divisions within
the company. The position reports to the director of Quality Assurance and participates on the Technical
Team Leadership Committee.
The technical PM will be responsible for ensuring cross-team delivery of all major initiatives. This will
involve coordinating the plans across the architecture, component, design, and product development
teams to ensure the items are developed and put into production in the most efficient and cost effective ways.
The right candidate is focused on project efficiency at all times. The role will require you to be adept at
working with different teams to ensure that proper project communication flows efficiently. Being part
of a mid-market company focused on growth means that you will need to adapt and pivot based upon
evolving business needs and demands on your time. An average day could involve developing a pilot
rollout strategy for a new product to ensuring that biweekly sprints are on time.
Responsibilities:

  • Gather project progress reports from each Team Lead. Ensure the reports fully capture the

team's velocity and current obstacles affecting throughput.

  • Collaborate with technical leadership to identify ways to support our mission through sound

project management techniques.

  • Create, Research, recommend, and implement project management tools to aid initiatives'

execution efficiency.

  • Lead complex projects from kickoff to closure.
  • Manage engagement scope and schedule for projects.
  • Create and maintain technical project plans outlining tasks, delivery dates, and allocation of

resources aligned to project objectives.

  • Work closely with development engineers, QA, product managers, and other engineering

teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build,
test, and release on time).

  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues and risks, and collaborate with the

engineering teams to come up with solutions.

  • Provide timely and accurate status updates to all team and Engineering leadership.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the project management methodology.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Unifocus products, application architecture, and project management skills through continuous learning.
  • Act as an escalation point for agile teams to resolve impediments during their adoption process. Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of and experience with modern project management tools/practices * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint or related software
  • (Bonus) ability to do light database queries to "self-source" your data Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in any major that emphasizes critical thinking.
  • PMP Certification or other project management training/certification. Location:
  • The position is based in our Carrollton, TX office
  • There is considerable flexibility for remote work. The position will involve in-office meetings on occasion.
